Yesterday, we reported that at least one vial of Diamond CBD Vape Additive seized by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics was found to contain fentanyl, a highly-addictive substance responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in the US in 2017.
Diamond CBD has issued the following statement in response:
“If you’ve been paying attention to the news, we’re sure you’re as concerned as we are about the recent headlines regarding our products. Rest assured, we’re monitoring the situation closely, as your safety is our number one concern.
Let us emphatically state that Diamond CBD does not put illegal substances in our products, nor do they contain synthetics of any kind. All of our products go through a rigorous testing process in multiple third-party laboratories. In fact, all of those tests are available online for you to see.
Each and every product that leaves our warehouse is nothing but all-natural hemp-derived CBD.
Moreover, we’d like to note that spice is a form of synthetic marijuana. There is no single chemical makeup of synthetic marijuana, so in practice, it can be made of almost anything. Our products are not spice. They contain no synthetics and they do not cause, nor do they attempt to replicate the high associated with marijuana.
Our CBD is sourced from all-natural hemp. Nothing more; nothing less.
No state or federal regulators have notified Diamond CBD of any alleged contamination of any of its products. It is unknown whether the alleged contamination being cited was at the point of manufacture or if the product was tampered with. Diamond CBD products are tested by an independent laboratory. In light of this allegation and in an abundance of caution, the Company is halting shipments of the affected product and will immediately have its contents re-tested by an independent laboratory.
Your safety has always been our number one concern. And quality has always been our guarantee.
We promise to keep you apprised of the situation as we learn more information. In the meantime, we invite you to review our lab tests, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.”
