As we approach the third annual Vapouround Awards, Vapouround is pleased to announce this year’s chosen charity is MIND – the mental health charity.

MIND supports over half-a-million people throughout England and Wales every year and the list of services provided by the charity is endless.  It covers talking therapies, crisis helplines, drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, counselling and befriending.

MIND provides advice and support to empower and help anyone who may be experiencing a mental health problem and doesn’t know how to cope.

MIND is a proud charity partner of the Heads Together campaign, which is fronted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. This campaign aims to change the national conversation on mental health.

The Blue Light programme addresses the need for more support for those serving in the emergency services with the hashtag #ourbluelight

Time to Change is England’s most ambitious campaign which tackles mental health stigma and discrimination. It’s fronted by MIND and Rethink.

Five Year Forward View for mental health is designed to hold the government to account, to ensure funds intended to improve mental health support always reach the frontline and promised changes always materialise.

Find the Words aims to help people find the words to open up to their GP in order to get the support they need. It’s also designed to help the people delivering primary care get support too.

Crisis Care deals with ensuring support for people who are discharged from hospital.

The 2018 Vapouround Awards take place on Friday, May 4. Mental Health Awareness Week is May 14 – 20.
