Perhaps unsurprisingly, hardware releases are showing no signs of slowing down as we head towards the Christmas period, which is historically a popular time to give up smoking.

This week we’re taking a look at the EH Pro Cold Steel AIO, SMOK Scar Mini and Ultroner Gaea 200.

EH Pro Cold Steel AIO

EH Pro Cold Steel AIO specs:

Dimensions: 106.5mm*28mm*39.1mm (height includes drip tip)
Materials: Zinc alloy, PCTG
Battery capacity: 1x 21700/20700/18650 external cell
E-liquid capacity: 4ml/ 2ml (TPD edition/RBA edition)
Power output: 1W-120W
Weight: 190g

Price: $64.99 (RBA version pre-order)

Ehpro made quite the impression with their original line up of Cold Steel mods. The Cold Steel AIO looks set to continue this run of form, with a robust zinc alloy chassis and sleek industrial aesthetic.

This is clearly an AIO aimed at the enthusiast crowd, with 21700 compatibility and a rebuildable section, with directional honeycomb airflow, provided as standard with the RBA edition.

The Cold Steel AIO could end up being one of the most complete all in ones of 2020, with a convenient top fill design, up to 120W of power output and hard-wearing chassis.

Ultroner x Fallout Vape Gaea 200

Ultroner Gaea 200 specs:

Dimensions: 89mm*47mm*36mm
Battery capacity: 2x 21700/20700/18650 external cells
Power output: 5W-200W
Price: $66.80 (pre-order)

Ultroner are best known for producing affordable stabilised wood mods but they’re taking a step in a new direction with the Gaea 200, a collaboration with Fallout Vape.

This is the first Ultroner mod to not feature a stabilised wood chassis and is an update to the original Gaea, which was a dual 18650 device.

The Gaea 200 features dual 21700 compatibility and claims to be the most compact device on the market with this specification. In addition to this, the Gaea 200 will be the first device powered by Ultroner’s SEVO 200C chipset. Details are currently sparse on the SEVO 200C’s full functionality, but if the name is anything to go by, it could be taking shots at the legendary DNA 200C.

The Ultroner Gaea 200 looks to have great ergonomics for a dual 21700 device, which tend to be unweildy for most users. If the build quality, size and chipset are all on point, this could be a fantastic option for those who require extreme wattage or battery life.

SMOK Scar Mini

SMOK Scar Mini

SMOK Scar Mini Specs:

Dimensions: 75.1mm*50mm*25.5mm
Power output: 1W-80W
Battery capacity: 1x 18650 external cell
Weight: 91.5g
Price: $59.99 (available here)

TFV9 Mini specs:

Dimensions: 55.8mm*23mm (height includes drip tip)
E-liquid capacity: 3ml/2ml (TPD edition)

SMOK are clearly not playing games when it comes to competing with Geekvape for rugged mod market share, which is currently dominated by the Aegis line.

The Scar Mini is SMOK’s latest IP67 rated device, which means the internals are water resistant and protected from impacts.

Unlike anything we’ve seen in the Aegis line, the Scar Mini has a side by side form factor, with top loading battery tube, originally popularised by the Eleaf iStick Pico. The result is a very compact device, with full 18650 compatibility and enough room to accommodate any 24mm atomiser.

Bundled with the mod is the new TFV9 Mini tank. Unlike the full fat TFV9, which has become SMOK’s flagship tank, the TFV9 Mini looks to be compatible with Baby Beast coil fittings and is launching with some redesigned mesh coils and a new channeled airflow system.

This could breathe some real life into all existing Baby Beast compatible tanks, which are still popular several years after initial release.

On the whole, the Scar Mini looks to be a solid starter kit for subohm vapers and we’re always excited to see real competition in the market, especially when it comes to rugged, practical mods.
